USE IN COOKING

Influenced by Mughal culture, northern Indian cuisine is rich and flavourful and served with naan bread. Tandoori powder is mixed in a marinade with yoghurt seasoned with lemon juice or olive oil. The marinade needs to rest for at least three hours and is then cooked in the oven or on the barbecue.

This mix goes with various meats such as chicken, veal, pork, lamb and beef; for example, in tandoori chicken kebabs and even tandoori beef burgers. It goes perfectly with fish (cod, monkfish, scallops) and vegetables; for example, an appetiser of raw vegetable sticks with five dips or a meal of rice and vegetable salad.

The tandoori mix can also be sprinkled straight onto grilled meat.
