ORIGIN

Pink berries also known as ‘pink pepper’ because they belong to the category of false peppers.

Pink berries are obtained from the berries of the Schinus Terebinthifolius plant. The term ‘pepper’ is only used for fruit of the Piper Nigrum plant. Pink berries also go by the names ‘Bourbon pepper’, ‘Peruvian pepper’, ‘Chinese coffee’, ‘Brazilian pepper’ and ‘rose pepper’.

HOW TO USE IT WHEN COOKING

Pink berries have a slightly sweet and warm, peppery taste.

This product goes very well with white meat and fish as well as in sauces and stuffing. In many cuisines, pink berries are often used in starters with fromage blanc, goat’s cheese, peas, green beans, etc.

They’re delicious sprinkled on buttered toast for breakfast!
